Create a New Project

Create a project in Serpent and link it to the source control repository and orgs it delivers from.

Creating a project sets up a new delivery pipeline: you name it, link the repository it tracks, and connect the orgs it works with. From there the team can start creating Work Items.

  1. Connect the repository

Connect the repository the project delivers from. Serpent stores your Salesforce metadata there and handles the underlying Git operations, so you never run branch or merge commands yourself.

Source control provider selection with Serpent, GitHub, and GitLab options
Project Info form with name, development type, and DevHub fields
Add Dev Hub dialog with alias and privacy level fields
Configuration step for scratch org and dependency settings
Packages step for naming and typing a new package

Connect orgs

  1. Add your Salesforce orgs

Add the Salesforce orgs the project develops against and releases to. You can connect more orgs later as the project grows.
