Serpent creates a Work Item's Git branch as part of creating the Work Item, but only when the project's source control is connected. If you created a Work Item and no branch appeared, the connection is almost always the reason.
Check these in order:
- Open Project Settings > Source Control and confirm a provider is connected. If it is not, connect it, then create the Work Item again.
- Confirm you are looking at the right project. Work Items and their branches belong to the project they were created in.
