A Dev Hub is the Salesforce org that authorizes and tracks scratch orgs. Serpent uses a connected Dev Hub to create scratch orgs, so managing it keeps scratch org and pooling workflows running.
Connect a Dev Hub
Enable the Dev Hub feature in the Salesforce org you want to use, then connect it to Serpent. That org then becomes the source scratch orgs are created against.
Keep it healthy
- Watch the scratch org limits the Dev Hub allows, since pooling draws on them.
- Re-authenticate the Dev Hub if its connection expires.
- Make sure scratch org and pooling workflows point at the right Dev Hub.
